Table for Two ...or a Few More

At the beginning of the month I had the pleasure of attending my first Open House! It was held at the Aladdin Event Center in Grove City and curated by Got Ya Covered Linens, Dashing Designs, LLC, and An Event to Remember. Party Pleasers cued the soundtrack for the evening while Simply Delicious, L.A. Catering, The Berwick, and Capital City Cakes were in attendance serving food and dessert samples.

First impression: totally a fan of the rose gold, blush, taupe and emerald palettes rounding out the tables.

Head Tuscan

Tuscan head tables are a common choice at wedding receptions. I haven’t yet made up my mind if I prefer when the newlyweds sit here or at their own sweetheart table. One thing I love in particular about this table design was the 3D centerpiece by An Event to Remember. I loved the hanged glass ornaments; I haven’t seen this done before at a wedding!

Also, the arrangement sat on top of a silver charger that laid on an upside down pilsner vase which blew my mindddddd..yes to repurposing! Utilizing your resources in creative new ways is definitely always a great tool to have in your back pocket.

A floral arrangement sat atop amongst LED candles and branches. The florals and branches were faux silk (with a few real roses) but I imagine this could be done with fresh florals as well. I’m a fan of layered designs so I thought this look was pretty cool.

More centerpiece options by An Event to Remember featuring cube and hurricane vases with mini tree stumps, gel beads, and floating candles. I appreciate their uniqueness.

The Venetian Guipure lace runner and Wood Slice charger were another of my favorite items. These chargers aren’t priced too bad either! Again, I enjoy non-traditional pieces so this is perfect if your wedding style is earthy, reserved nature or maybe even Bohemian.

I typically don’t like chair sashes but I enjoyed these coverings. Simple but noticeable flare.

Don’t you dare do a simple square napkin fold! Just kidding totally wouldn’t judge if you did :P

Uplighting is always a great alternative if you want to incorporate your wedding colors in your reception while keeping the tables a neutral color. Party Pleasers is an all encompassing company that features lighting packages in addition to entertainment. If you’re looking for a signature staple for your wedding, they also can project custom images with gobo lighting (so sorry I forgot to take a photo! ☹).

I LOVE THESE! I’ve yet to see a detailed piece that included draping from the ceiling. Beautifully done.

Ceremony & Cocktail Space

The Aladdin Event Center in Grove City seats up to 200 guests and is equipped with two separate suites for bridal party accommodations.

All in all, I must say I was impressed and look forward to attending more vendor showcases in the future. If you’re in the midst of planning your big day, or simply want to check out some gorgeous wedding set ups I encourage you to attend one. One last note, make sure you sample the food to gauge potential vendors as well because after all….
